Electrical/Battery Issue

Hey guys heres the issue im having and would like some input on. Up until yesterday, the car started and ran flawlessly, however, yesterday, i started up my car and left my house without a hitch but then once i tried to start it up again about an hour later, it would not crank at all. So i lifted up the hood and quickly found out where the problem likely started from. The LED angel eyes i had been using from Khoalty were also attached to the positive terminal where the main power cord is attached. Once i opened the black terminal box it was evident that the angel eye connecter had been fried. The end of the prong was all burnt up and the wrapping around the wires were burnt. However, the main power supply cord was not badly burnt or effected at all.

Once i removed the positive and negative prongs of the angel eye harness, i reattached the battery and main power supply cord and the car started up right away. However, after driving the car for about an hour I noticed the red battery light on the dashboard had flickered a few times during driving but never stayed on completely. I parked the car at a friends house for about 2 hours and upon trying to start it after, it would not crank or anything.

Now, everytime i try to start it after letting it sit for awhile, it will not crank at all. But if i disconnect the battery in the back and under the hood, after about 2 minutes i can reconnect it all and she starts up fine......

Does anyone know what could possibly be the cause?

All the angel eye wiring is disconnected, right? I have experienced a parasitic draw from a set from a different vendor before. I would start by cleaning the jump terminal under the hood really well. That is a strange issue, however.
