Help with coming up with a topic for paper

Hi Guys,

Need some suggestions on what I can write a paper on. The topic is engines. I can write about anything, as long as it has anything to do with engines in some way. Any topic would be appreciated. I'm drawing a blank and just don't want to write about something obvious such a SC, Turbo, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

write about the benefits of cylinder sleeves made from non-reactive materials in diesel engines in areas where high-sulfur diesel is still the predominant form.

write about electric motors replacing engines and how they will be identified as current IC ones are. for instance, mustangs have been identified in the past with 289 and 5.0, bmw with the inline 6 and the car numbers 330 designates a 3.3L, chevy 350, chrysler 429.

what class is the paper for? make a difference if is it engineering versus history.

It's an engine rebuilding class I'm taking at the local college for fun.

Also, it's only 2 pages.

My Ride: Too many to list
Write about pros/cons of overhead cam vs. pushrod engines.

Or just a general history and the technology that has changed through the years. Different ignition systems, how fuel injection came about, forced induction, and whats perceived to be future technology.

well then it might be pertinent to look into how engine rebuilding industry will transform as electric and hybrid electric vehicles become more prevalent

The best engine in the world is the vagina. It takes any size piston, is self lubricating, starts with one finger and every four weeks does it's own oil change.

It's just a pity the management system is so damn temperamental.

Excellent relevant topic. What life cycles are expected for electric engines?

Huge opportunity to replace short haul trucks with full electric. Get political cronies to ban combustion trucks and you'll have your monopoly. Build engine servicing right in the town to comfort the suppliers.

Compare the different engine layouts and their inherent balance vs. imbalance (90degree v6, 60deg v8, straights 4s and 6s, etc).
