Bc-Racing Coilovers or Koni yellows/ Eibach

I currently have an 01 330ci with Bc coilovers that I'm guessing are completely shot/ready to be replaced. I'm baseing this on how horrible my ride quality currently is; bouncing!. My question is wether you guys think I should try my best to keep coilovers or just invest in a koni yellow/eibach springs setup. I'm looking for ride quality since its my daily driver and I live in NYC, pothole city. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

Did you try adjusting them, or have you been riding around on full stiffness as long as youve owned it?

I bought the car in may of this year and I'm not too familier with adjusting or coilovers in general. Maybe the best thing to do wohld be to have then looked at at my local indy shop..?

naw dude, its easy, its just a matter of turning knobs.
i believe they are at the top. look at the top of your rear shocks and at the top of the front dampers.

You can also adjust the preload on them too, as the preload adjustment is desperate from the hight adjustment. If theyre linear springs, it may not matter tho.

see the knobs at the top of the rear damper and fronts (center of camber plates)

Thats how you adjust dampening.

Ive adjusted the dampening a bit but need new springs if not a new setup. Lol, its really bad. It also makes a small clunking noise when hitting very small bumps. Ive heard that a shocks/springs setup is better for comfort. I'm sure I'm wrong :-)

well if its clanking, somethign is seriously up, but it may not be the suspension, If you want more comfy, then yes, spring and shocks tend to be better at that.

I guess I just wanted the best of both worlds. Ride quality and controll. Thanks a lot bro. Ill definately get it checked out.

curious tho, you didnt knwo how to adjust the damping, then you said you did. When did you adjust it, and did you try making a bold adjustment, like going all the way max soft?

I have adjusted those small dampening knobs but never noticed that much of a difference. I thought by adjusting you meant something more difficult to do like messing with the springs. <-- I'm a newb

Also diddnt know doing so was called dampening or those were dampening knobs. Lol

cheap coilover claim to be 32 point adjustment, but its BS, its really like 10, you have to make bolt adjustments, go max soft and then go back up 3-5 clicks at a time if its too bouncy.

Ill try it out. Now to find the rear knobs. Thanks
