Another Mac/Hard Drive question
Pretty sure my hard drive is telling me it's about to die.
Ancient first ever Intel iMac. Trying to hold out until the next redesigned iMac is released. For the past couple of days, it's been making beeping sounds. Normally never hear the hard drive. But, whenever anything seems to run, random beeps come out of the computer now. Different tones. No other way to describe it other than it's beeping a lot now when it never used to beep. It's dying right? Acts normally otherwise. Just beeps now. I do Time Machine backups. Is there anything else I need to do in case it dies and I need to replace it? Don't really do anything but surf the web and mess with iPhoto. Time Machine backups and all the iPhoto pics/vids are stored in an external hard drive. Anything in iTunes is stored in the iMac internal hard drive tho.

Just make sure everything is backed up, and get a replacement drive right away. Transfer everything before it actually dies in case you missed something on the backups.
