WTB: 2004 325xi Passanger side Headlight assembly.

So while retrofitting projector's into my headlights, I accidently broke the passanger side assembly, so it moves around inside.

I'm looking for a spare assembly. The condition doesn't matter to me. As long as it's stable and not broken, scratches doesn't bother me as I'll be blacking the reflector bowls out, for the projectors.

I don't have a lot of money so maybe we can work a deal out?
PM me please.

Or, send a text.

Hey sorry, pre facelift wouldn't work as the assemblies are different.
I'm just doing everything I can do avoid buying a new one at nearly $300.
Considering I don't need a NEW one as I'd be blacking it out and using for bi-xenon retrofitting.. so it's a waste of money there, AND I just dumped $700 intot he engine this weekend.

Not a problem at all.
It took me about 3 hours total. Most of the time was waiting for silicone to dry.

I'll post links:

The projectors: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3181

The bulbs: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=235

Ballasts: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=21742

Shrouds: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=131

Relay: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=167

Capacitor: 4700uf 25V capacitors (radio shack has some)
This you would need if you run projectors. Your lights will flicker and KILL the bulbs if not used.
It's used to smoothen out the electric flow to the ballasts. Takes 5 minutes tops. Here is a good DIY.
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=617166

The relay isn't NEEDED but highly recommended.
I currently do not have one, and my lights act up on me at times. When I turn them on, I get a bulb out warning. So I must turn the side lights on for a minute, THEN my head lights.

Note* if you call them to make the order, tell them you want to exchange the shrouds that come WITH the projectors, for the E46 ones, and they took off $15.
Also, I asked fi I could get some kind of bundle discount and they did.

You can use any bulbs and ballasts, as long as they're H1 bulbs, and AMP ballasts.

I recommend Morimoto as they're high quality. But if you're on a real budget, DDM tuning would work.
I'm currently running DDM slim ballasts with the XB35 5k bulbs. (works OK)

If you're serious about doing this, make sure you have a few hours. Make sure you take your time.
The retrofit, I followed this thread.

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=840919

It's well worth the money and time. I can see MUCH better at night now.
I'm patiently waiting to wire up the bi-xenon part.

Yeah, I have stock headlights. And I retrofitted the projectors into them.

As far a your HID situation, not sure but I'm assuming you have HID "look alikes"?
To har HIDs in your car without projectors, you'll need to cut up the bulb holder to fit the HID bulb.
You don't want that. Trust me. Been there done that.

But with the projectors, they only take H1 fitment bulbs. Our cars take a H7 style stock.

Note, te H1 HID bulb is 100% different from the stock bulb.

I must've misread.
Sorry about that.

With te projecters, they take a H1 bulb. And because of this, and the fact it's meant for an HID bulb. You'll need to purchase an HID kit.

Like I said, DDM tuning had some cheap kits. $35 for bulbs AND ballasts.

But you get what you pay for. Don't buy analog ballast from them. I did and it exploded.

Are you asking if you can just retrofit the projectors and shrouds into the stock housings and then use a halogen H1 bulb instead of a xenon H1 bulb with ballast? If so, then yes. They do make H1 halogen bulbs that do not require a ballast to operate.

Actually yes that was my question Haha I figured it'd be cheaper and easier to just use stock style bulbs on the projector lenses
