Imola ZHP Progress Thread - Page 6

This evening I happened to find an Imola Red ZHP being parted out in Florida and was fortunate enough to get the driver's front fender and door to replace my damaged ones. It will be nice to have undamaged body panels on my ZHP for a change...

What's damaged about the original body panels?

The front driver's fender is slightly bent at the front wheel well and in the middle, the driver's door has several dents and something that actually pushed the metal out. This is why I'm replacing them altogether. Finally getting the car cleaned up and then when funds allow....a full respray (the right way)...not sure if I'll go for the glossy black roof or keep everything Imola as it is right now...

Ahh I see, I was confused looking at the pictures, nothing looked amiss right away! Pushed out- odd- maybe some previous service work?

I'd keep the paint original, and after the paint curing period vinyl the roof gloss black. Either way I think it'd look good.

Actually, if I vinyl then I will go with the matte black...I think that would look sweet...

looks like the ZHP will be getting a Coby alcantara rewrap (steering wheel, shift boot, and e-brake boot) -> Black alcantara w/ Imola Red stitching

Today through a very good friend, I was able to source OEM M3 18" front wheels for my ZHP. I plan to use these wheels as my winter wheels for the next few years.

I think it will be much improved over the wheels I'm currently using

Also picked this up for my daily driver

You seriously have me considering picking up zhp as daily driver just to keep miles low on my 135.

Thank you sir! With all the maintenance and mods I have done to my ZHP, it's almost as much fun to drive as my ///M. Best part is that I'm keeping upkeep costs down on the ///M since I only take it out when the weather is perfect

To me this is the best of everything....sort of like having your cake and icing too

Great example! You've managed to make a number of mods while keeping it true to form. Now all you need is a CSL brake upgrade on your //M
