p1542!!! EML, DSC and Check engine

uugghhh im having the same problem!! my DSC, EML and check engine light came on and sent my car on limp mode! my car sputters if you hit the gas while in Parking and when driving wont go past 5mph as it is still sputterin... i hooked up the computer and it read P1542 (pedal position sensor electrical) so while i was driving i pulled over and unplugged the mass flow sensor for a second while the car was on waited 5 secs, plugged it back in and turned the car on and off and it worked again...WTF?? today i opened the car and checked the vacuum hose no cracks, i then cleaned the next part where the hose plugs into.... it has like a plastic circle with a plastic mesh with a sensor.... and it was running fine, until now!!! all the lights came back on!! sooooo what to do?! idk what triggered this but last week i replaced the catalytic converter, both of them, cuz one was cracked and i did some mickey mouse job cuz i used a 525i part that cuz it looked identical to mine, only problem was the part where they meet.... the exhaust pipes wernt alined right so i had to cut and weld and wala =] worked fine until this bs!!! ugh!!! im spending more fixin my 323ci than making monthly payments on another fn car!!! anyone a car sabby here?

Same exact problem happened on my 323i back in April. Clean your throttle body and icv. Fixed mine and it's been fine ever since.
