Basic halogen upgrade?

This seems like a crazy question to ask around here since most drivers opt for halos, HID, xenon, bi-xenon, projectors, etc... and this seems like a common-sense question, but I am a total noob when it comes to lighting and bulb types.

All I want is something that appears like a stock upgrade. I was considering Sylvania Silverstar bulbs but have read a lot of reviews of poor bulb life (under 6 months). Any reputable source for a quality upgrade or recommended brands?

I picked up these 4750 bulbs that are plug and play like stock. I'd be interested in hearing other suggestions.
