Must be Valley Speak??

Better/clearer explanation would go a long way in getting useful feedback and suggestions.

Unclear if the ignition switch is stuck?

Does the car crank over, but fail to start?

Does the car not crank over at all, meaning the starter does not even turn the engine?

See my signature for the Hidden OBC Menu so you can check Voltages on your dashboard.

Are you saying it's turning over; but does not actually run?

I recently have had some starting issues on my vert and seem to have narrowed my issue likely down to a starter. That said, I'm betting fuel pump in your case.

A few questions however.
  1. Have you ever changed your fuel filter?
  2. When you put the key in and turn to position 2 (just before the car actually starts), do you hear a whirring coming from the rear of the car (this would be the fuel pump priming)?
  3. When you try to start it, does the interior light dim?
  4. Have you checked the fuse for the fuel pump (believe it is #50 in the fuse box in your glovebox)?

I'm sure your honda didn't drive as nicely either; but if you don't want to keep up with the maintenance on the BMW, a honda may suit you better. Nothing wrong with a honda if you simply want A to B transportation.

The car is spetronic, both auto and manual.

I turn the ignition and i hold it and its starting but the engine doesnt fully kick in to full start. It might be the fuel pump since my fuel gauge has been acting funny.

Last night it was actually fully starting then shutting down after 2 seconds.
