now what?
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-325...ocks/ES252804/
i ordered those (through modbargains) and my shop is installing them (i'm sick as a dog). i just got a call and they said they can't install the fronts because there is no plate for the spring to sit on. did i order the wrong ones? modbargains ordered them for me knowing what kind of car i had (325xiT) since the koni's i ordered were backordered. thoughts/comments/suggestions? john |

how did you get the springs to sit on there? i'm using eibuach pro spring kit. the shocks (as you can see in the pic) has no plate to hold the spring. my oem ones are welded on there. john |

I used everything that was on there. Only replaced the struts and shocks.

i'm not sure you understand what i'm saying. IF i'm replacing shocks and springs. how do i get the springs to work with the bilstein fronts if they don't have the plate to hold the spring if the OEM plates are welded on. are there aftermarket ones i can purchase?

Who is installing the struts, hispanics? They dont know what they're doing. The spring perch isn't welded to the strut, it can't be.
Remove the car from that shop and do the work yourself. All you need is a spring compressor (rent it), basic tools, and maby a friend. You'd have to hammer the spring perches out with a rubber mallet, pb blaster or wd40 would help. |

actually, the guy is hispanic. but that's besides the point. the shop has done me well in the past when i don't have time to work on the car myself (case in point).
i'll probably take a walk over in a little bit. thanks for answering alfonso. john |

fyi, the fronts are NOT OEM. they are aftermarket (installed right before i purchased the car) would aftermarket perches be welded on by any chance?
