Can you imagine getting into your E46 and driving like this...
Only applies if your in North America and your car is LHD.
For me just looking at that picture makes everything seem weird and twisted. It would take a while to get used to. Everything is completely opposite. |

Looks like the instrument cluster is the only part that's the same between LHD and RHD models.

I drove a friend's Honda Beat one time. It is a tiny RHD kei roadster from Japan. Driving RHD was weird, but the most annoying thing was the steering column stalks were reversed. Every time I flicked the left stalk to turn, the wipers would turn on! Looks like the stalks on this E46 are the same as in LHD cars.

Actually isn't most of the world LHD? I thought RHD was limited to Japan, UK and some other small nations?

The funny thing is, the countries had all cars imported from the us or Mexico so all the cars are LHD idiots

shifting would be really weird. since driver is first/priority, it would make sense that the driver sits "first." I think LHD is superior! englishmen, weigh in!

Really...you must be talking about Bizarro world right?
Today about 66.1% of the world's people live in right-hand traffic countries and 33.9% in left-hand traffic countries. About 72% of the world's total road distance carries traffic on the right, and 28% on the left. Referenced from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-_...t-hand_traffic |

Drove a couple RHD 3 pedal Toyota Hilux' (how do you say that in the plural?) when i was in Afghanistan. Wasnt nearly as hard to get used to as I thought. pedals are in the same order. Now blacked out and tearing ass with NVGs in Kandahar mounitians does take a bit getting use to....

Personally, the hardest thing to get used to would probably be shifting. It's odd that 1st is away from the driver. I could see myself unintentionally trying to start in 5th lol
