Smile 320D 3-piece drive shaft whirl when cold [SOLVED]

SOLVEDDear all I have this noise on my 320D 156k miles 2001:

When its cold in the morning driving between 30 - 40 mph It whirls quite loud, seems to change slightly with acceleration and de-acceleration. So as the you tube clip says I replaced both centre bearings and flexi disk while I was there. Still the same noise.

So i had it up on axle stands and had an assistant run it up to 30 mph when it was cold and it was defiantly coming from the rear centre bearing, although when I put my ear on a screw driver I couldnt hear the whine. Does this mean it must be the U-Joint that is next to the centre bearing? When the prop was off the U joint felt loose, no notchyness, no play, didnt feel like a new sealed ball bearing where you could feel the Greece just free.

would it be cheaper to get a second hand prop and try it? there doesnt seem a way to temporary Greece the u joint to eliminate it?

Found a second hand prop on ebay for 50, the U joints 'feel like there's grease in them when moved about' . Put it on and the noise has gone.

Wonder why the 320D has a prop with 3 U joints and a flexi disk?

Must be more axis of torsional twist on the engine that the prop has to cope with
