Mobil 1 0w40

Right now, at O'Rileys you can get a 5.1 qt jug of Mobil 1 0w40 LL-01 spec oil for $27 and some change. That's like $5.45/qt. It's one of few oils that are approved for the BMW e46's.

I don't know how long the sale lasts but that's the least expensive I've been able to find LL-01 this year.

I didn't either. I was shocked but I double checked the spec to make sure it was the right stuff. Such a good deal I had to let others know.

Advance auto has the same deal, at 29.99 and including the M1 oil filter as well. Plus, any additional quarts are 25% off, so 7 quarts and a filter comes up to less that 45 bucks. Just got this a week ago. They also have Mann oil filters but you have to get the M1 filter to get the deal, even though the M1 filters are pricier than Mann filters.

AutoZone had a similar deal several months ago at $25 or $29---less than $6 a qt and with a filter. I need to check if O'Rileys is in my area--I need to change my oil again since it is 5k since the last change

I had the same thing. Great price, and yes, I think the 5.1qt jugs are new, or at least I never saw them before. This is cheaper than wal-mart. The problem then is that you are using M1 0w-40.... (oh yes I did just go there...).

OP,
Thanks for the heads up! And, for double checking the specs.
Good job.

I'll pick up a jug at that price.

The O'Reilly's I went to in Cincinnati did not carry the 5 qt. jug, but they had the 0-40 for 5.49/qt, which is also a great price. Bought the 9 qts. they had and ordered two more 6 qt. cases which will be there tommorrow.

I also did not know the 0-40 came in the large jugs. I wonder if Walmart will start carrying them, instead of only in the individual qts.

walmart used to have them, the large 5qt jugs. But they just stopped carrying them/or may be they get sold out soon.
I have seen $6.5 per qt of M1 0w40 at walmart.

Yes, advanced auto has the 5qt deal for 29.99

Just confirming.
