Comparison between two 330's..

Myself got a 02 - 330xi, 5spd, 134k miles
My buddy has a 04 - 330xi, 5spd, 115k miles

Earlier today I drove his just to see the difference, both are running same size tires but yet I found his almost had faster throttle response? I also felt as if my XI felt heavier while driving..

Am I just crazy or what? I know he hasn't done any kind of performance mods to his. His also felt harder/firmer ride while mine almost was more of a smoother ride.

What gives this? Any major differences between the 02 and 04's? Highly doubt the 20k miles difference would do it?

What's the condition of your o2 sensors, air filter, MAF, throttle body, VANOS, etc, the list goes on.

Actually he does have the sport package.. Now that I think about it. So basically the springs/shocks would cause this?

MAF was clean couple of months ago when I took it apart to do my OFHG.
Throttle body I am not sure..
02 sensors and air filter are good I would say, again when I was doing my OFHG I took a look at the air filter and it was clean. Also my fuel mileage is 8.5L/100km. Which I believe is pretty darn good?

So perhaps give the throttle body a cleaning? How difficult is that?

Nah you must be on the wrong forum bud, it's a comparison between two 330 XI's.

Not difficult. And if your o2 sensors are original I think they're ready to be replaced.

Have a link for a throttle body cleaning?

What makes you believe the 02 would be bad? Would that be a throttle response thing too?
