knock sensor
hi does a knock sensor have anything to do with the cars power and acceleration? car is strugeling on the motor way its like it wants to give you power but something is stopping it anyone know?

What kind of gas are you using? If you are not using premium gas, switch to it and report back.

i use unleaded 98 octania but i had a diagnose and all that came up was a knock sensor and i want to know if this sensor has anything to do with the cars power?

Yes, both will. The O2 sensor normally won't unless you leave it in the car for a long time after it failed.
If you have the code for the sensor just replace it. If you have around 80,000 miles on the car replace the spark plugs. Run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. Check your intake boots for any cracks.
