Clocks & stereo not working? Error message : canbus error

Hey all having a bit of a problem. My clocks inside the car don't light up or show any reading on any of the gauges & my stereo doesn't come on either.. I had a fault code machine plugged in for diagnostics & it stated that was a canbus error .. Anyone any ideas? Anything at all will be appreciated

What "fault code machine" did you use? Check your fuses.

It was a software system that the rac used didn't get any codes from then , it also came up that there was a problem with the "anti theft" is it something not plugged in properly? The dashboard was removed from the car about a week ago & reinstalled

I'm thinking it may be the dme or gm5 mod. The instrument panel wasn't working I.e wasn't showing any info whatsoever I had the rac out & they told me it was a canbus error "instrument panel not talking to ecu" , this went on for a few days .. & all of a sudden it started working again, but now it gets even weirder because when the cars running & I press the indicator it doesn't register on the instrument panel !? & when I turn the lights on the panel doesn't always light up? & sometimes the lights for the clock don't go out when the keys are removed from the car ? is this symptomatic of the module relays going faulty?anyone any ideas at all. Thanks
