Purchasing 2001 330i, Help Identifying Possible Problems

I am going to be purchasing a salvaged 330i from my friend. I've compiled a huge list of items I'm going to check during my 3 day test drive (GM or ZF tranny, pads & rotors, alignment, etc..), but I need help in figuring out what to look for on the actualy body of the car. I've been reading a lot about the subframe damage around the rear wheel wells and suspension locations but I was wondering if there are any other known problem locations for the frame/body of the car.

I know the obvious signs such as rust, cracks, tears, twisting, but I would like some direction on where to really look for such things. Thanks!

P.S. The car was in the accident in 2003, and has been repaired for 9 years with no effects. I believe the passenger front door was replaced. Cosemtically, on the surface the car is flawless.

All the parts I replaced will most likey need to be replaced on yours plus some....Unless the previous owner actually maintained the car.

But anywhere specifically on the frame I should pay attention too?

Just get a pre purchase inspection done by a qualified mechanic.

A 2 year old BMW that had a salvage title put on it required a lot more than a new door lol

I believe a side airbag had to be replaced, it's my understanding that if any airbag deployes the car is automatically deemed salvaged.

Nothing really. Think twice about buying the salvaged car before you pull the trigger. As choxor stated, get a PPI done on the car.
