another IHKA thread

I have noticed a couple of things about the e46 climate control that stump me: First off, on a hot day, when the ac is turned on, the fresh air flaps are closed, no matter what the recirc button is set to. I guess for max cooling the car blocks outside hot air. Secondly, it is impossible to have passive airflow in the e46: ie on a nice fall day with cool temps if you wanna turn off the climate control (blower speed zero, display off), the fresh air flaps also close, thus you can't have ram air coming in through the vents from outside. Why do we have a fresh air/recirc button if the car does whatever the fck it wants to?
I personally prefer fresh air intake even with ac on, and on nice days I like to turn the whole thing off...unfortunately these cars were designed for people who keep their windows up year round....that's probably why the window regulators break after you lower/raise your windows more than 5 times!
Could any of these be cured by coding? I have INPA, NCS and DIS v44
Sorry for the rant.
