just buy an old playstation 3 and get GT5. you could easily buy a used ps3 from a store with a warranty for about $120 and get gt5 for $20.

WTF...why can I not use manual gear shifts?

If a car game will not allow for customized controls, then it is a fail.
I even dusted off my steering wheel controller, and hooked it up, only to find that you can't change gears with the paddle shift selectors.

Ever see a 35 yo adult throw a temper tantrum?

You can manually change gears! It's in the settings, it uses the x and b buttons so you have to map those to your wheel's shifters.

So you have done that on Horizon?

I went into myprofile>controls during gameplay, and didn't see any custom layout, only preset layouts.

I guess there are two different places to change control settings then. (gonna look for settings)

Going to try it again... thanks.

Picked this up for the 15 dollar price on black Frieda. Received it this week, very impressed. I bought NFS the run a little bit ago for 20 dollars, and was somewhat disappointed in game. Especially the physics. Add me if you'd like: PatsFan250, I could use some rivals.

Hesitant to buy this.. it looks extremely arcade-ish

I rented NFS Most Wanted for a week, I than rented Horizon two weeks later..Honestly I enjoyed "Most Wanted" a lot more.

I have every Forza game. I enjoy sim games. But Horizon seems stuck in the middle to me. It's not a sim game nor is it a fun arcadish game. It is NOT an open world type game. To me something was not quiet right. Something is missing..Maybe add "police"

I may buy it down the road when it's cheap enough to add to my library. I'm glad I rented the game before I spent $59.99

They need to add:

police mode.

Weather, road condition tweaks.

Ghosts in Rivals challenges

More tweaks in tuning

Utilisation of right stick on the controller for gear shifts.

To name a few.

Fun game nonetheless.

What's everyone's favorite cars?

I still have this game in the unopened box due to COD Black Ops 2.

Should I put down the Crack Ops for some Forza?

I already beat the game. I found that 4WD or AWD is a HUGE help in this game. Especially in some of the twisty parts. I think i primarily beat the game using AWD cars. Think my favorite was the GTR

Fully mod the Austin mini and turn off the traction control. So much fun.
