to purchase a 4.10 diff would cost you around $2300~ including sending your stock diff back for a refund of the core charge.i have provided a link for you to view. its gonna be around 3900 to duplicate this.

diff cost is 2285+shipping. and you need to send back your OEM 3.62 or you will be charged an additional 1500 for core deposit.


the only reason why i am selling this is because i am parting out the car. this is hands down the best modification you can do to an M3 next to forced induction. im sure other owners of 4.10s can comment on that. I am a reputable sellers and can provide names to vouch for me.

Diff has no clunks or noises, fluids changed regularly. absolutely no leaks or any issues. Like i said, i would keep this but i am selling the car. my price is $1800+SHIPPING and paypal fees. the big part is YOU KEEP YOUR STOCK DIFF. this is less than 1/2 the price of purchasing new and i think this is very fair. i am not asking for a core deposit and you can keep your stock diff in case you decide to go another route and/or sell the car. If payment is gifted, no paypal fees required. shipping will be around $100 because of size and weight. Diff is still on car but if i get a buyer, i will take a deposit, pull the diff and send it to you within 2 weeks. If you have any questions.

ONCE AGAIN, DIFF IS FULLY BUILT READY TO BE INSTALLED ONTO CAR. THIS IS NOT A RING AND PINION WHICH GOES FOR 700-800. THIS IS A FULLY BUILT FULLY FUNCTIONING DIFFERENTIAL WITH NO ISSUES.

This diff will work with any E46 M3 coupe/convertible 01-06. I do not know if it will work with any other models, you would have to check on that.

How much of a difference does this gear ratio make?

pretty significant. ive done intake exhaust/headers/cams and i will say i felt the difference on this more than any of those mods

at 80mph your rpms in 6th grear is now 3650 instead of approx 3000. car feels faster and more torquey off the line.

I would highly recommend NOT gifting the payment. Got caught once by PayPal and they permanently banned my account and any account I was related too (including a business account).

What limited slip did u go with? Did you have the REM polishing done? I would be all over this except I'm looking at 3.91 with a quiafe limited slip however the price of this might change my mind. How is highway cruising with this? GLWS

pete. not sure. i bought an OEM bmw motorsport 4.10 ring/pinion from a guy on M3forums. yes it was polished. had a diff shop i know and trust here do the custom fab work. highway crusing is great. 3600 RPMS in 6th gear at 80mph. gas consumption at that speed is probably 21-22mpg.

its great not having to downshift most times to do a pass. i can just step on it in 6th at 80 and get past most people.

honestly, ive got this priced at a great price just moving it because im parting out and selling the car. getting a CTS-V

BUMP. will also do 1300 WITH OEM 3.62 DIFF SWAP. diff has to be under 100k miles with no issues. and you are responsible for labor costs. (if you DIY thats fine)
