That's the average price around here. Can usually find it on sale for right around $5/qt on sale.

Now some may consider this flamebait, but I'm running NexGen 10-40 (and 5-30 for the winter) since I was able to get about 15 gallons of it for free.

runs $9/qt here in SC at Advance Auto. I haven't checked WalMart, probably pretty cheap here.

Keegan: It is cheap at Walmart. You can buy online and pick it up at the store. At least you can do that at the Clemson/Central Walmart here.

^ damn... why are you spending 2X amount?

5w40 liquid moly 5L jug is about $36 with tax +$10 for filter at any parts source... = $60 at most for full oil change... and thats the best oil you can get for the car.

i know many people don't have the resources to do an oil change, but giving away $40-50 for 30-45 min job with a beerbrake is just nuts

I'm originally from Columbia, SC... Just moved to Davenport FL. I'm certain the prices are similar for both of us. Google knows!

At seven quarts for an oil change, that's 45 dollars in oil + 10 dollars for an oil filter Kit and you've just changed your BMW oil for about 60 dollars after taxes... Doesn't get much better than that

amazon has it for about $6 a quart after rebate, and cheaper if you get a qualifying mobil 1 filter.
