BMW CSL Wheels

Hello all.

I recently purchased a set of 19" CSL styled rims from a local Wheel & Tyre place here in Adelaide. I had the set of 19's on for around 10 months when I noticed a huge ding in the rear right alloy. After a closer inspection I noticed that the front right wheel also had a massive dent most likely caused by a large pot hole or the Mrs driving off a curb.

I then noticed a slow puncture in the rear left and removed it only to notice 4 cracks in the alloy. It is safe to say that they all need replacing and after spending $2600 only 10 months ago on a tyre & wheel package I'm a little hesitant.

This is what I'm after, ideally in gunmetal grey ... My car is silver.

Does anyone have any experience with buying off the web ? To be honest Im pretty certainl the ones I got from the store we're probably the same as what you'd find on ebay anyway ...

If anyone has any advice into buying, it would come much appreciated.

Dan

Might be worthwhile looking into a reputable replica wheel manufacturer like VMR. You'll probably get a better built wheel that will be less likely to crack, buckle etc.

or go oem.

Quite by coincidence my mechanic talked me out of buying some CSL replicas for the exact same reason just last week. Seems like good advice.

Yep, OEM if you can. This is for a non-M though so you'll struggle to fit them without a fair amount of tyre stretch.

All wheels will break. Some wheels will take more to break than others. Do your research and go with a wheel manufacturer that suits you.
