My Ride: depends on the mood
Would you trade for this SRT8?

I saw a Chrysler 300 SRT8 this weekend and it looked quite impressive, so I stopped by the dealer to check it out. Its powerful, looks hot, cheap, and the interior is pretty good... but no where near german engineering of course. I was thinking about trading in the M3 for it. Id trade my 328 if i could but its way too modified, and worth very little. Please guys this post isnt meant for any disrespect, just want opinions if any of you are familiar with SRT cars, or even if you just have a comment with something I didnt think of (as I process this in my own head). I am still on the fence.

All my cars are 2Drs, and im looking to pickup a 4Dr with some muscle thats not an M5 but still fun. Im getting married, building a home and expanding at work this year so F10 M5 is out of the question for a few years.

The white 300 SRT8 at the dealer.

and carry around the people in your family?

I've driven these and they are a blast.
something you can maintenance at home too.

P.S. I am very familiar with SRT vehicles and driven all of them on and off the track.
the new ones are insane for bang for buck for a new car.

Yeah thats a big plus, and it'll help since the warranty on SRT8s is only 3yrs. I dont plan on keeping it longer than 3-4yrs.

I saw the Speed Test Drive of the 300 SRT8 this weekend. Looks like a fun car, but I would have to drive it before I can answer your question.

I bet the 300 is a cool car...I bet it's also pretty comfortable too. My opinion, its huge...If I wanted something big, I'd get a truck. I also think its too plain.

Yep in a heartbeat, but the cts-v is $20k more. At that price range id rather hold out spend $20k more and get the M5.

No where near German engineering? You do realize (I hope) that the chassis of the Chrysler 300 is borrowed from the last generation Mercedes Benz E class, just like the Crossfire was built on the first generation MB SLK chassis.

Yes, maybe the chassis is german engineered, but the fit/finish is american. Gaps, materials, layout, sounds, etc are not executed in the same way.
