Will it work?
Hello everyone,
I'm going to draw on all of your knowledge and experience for this question. I just got my 03M3 (and Really liking it) after looking for a long time, and the one I bought doesn't have the security module, and a BMW dealer told me it's no longer available. Can I use one from another model / year? The plug in the trunk deck says "pre-wired for security". Also of course the interior mirror has the usual issue, can I go with an '04 or newer rectangular in it's place? Also another plug on the trunk deck says "pre-wired for Homelink". Dude, search. Seriously. There are threads about this. You will need PA Soft to activate it.
