Damaged 2001 325iT sport manual for sale $4950 obo

All,

My California baby, a 2001 325it manual AW/Hellbeige2 with Sport and Luxury packages (143k) is for sale. However, it is damaged. I hit a car as it pulled into the live travel lane...probably going between 20 and 30 mph. No major frame damage, no airbag deployment, car started without issue and was driveable after the accident, but insurance has deemed that the parts/labor cost outweigh its value. Insurance estimates approx $7.5k of work at full retail price. $2k in Xenons, $600 for hood, $2k (cooling, bumper, other lighting, misc), $500 paint and $2k in labor. It carries a CLEAN title and it will NOT be turned into a salvage title upon settlement. Hopefully, I will be done with the insurance negotiations this week. I own it outright so no bank payoff hassles.

Car ran wonderfully before the accident with no engine or clutch issues. Does not burn or drip oil. Car has never seen a snowy winter (Car was shipped from Cali to Boston in late Feb 2012) and has been blessed with approx $8k in upgrades & maintenance over the last 18 months including (but not limited to):
1. Full suspension upgrade (bilstein sport shocks on h&r 29484)
2. Meyle hd control arms, bushings and brackets. Febi sways
3. Turner Subframe Reinforcement
4. AKG diff and subframe bushings
5. Rogue RSMs
6. RTAB bushings and rear sway bar
7. New OEM Motor and Transmission mounts
8. OEM Guibo and CSB
9. OEM Shifter bushings
10 All power steering hoses
11. Genuine bmw of europe clear tail lights
12. Full tint @ 35% (MA legal)
13. m3 steering wheel
14. Dynavin v6
15. Full cooling system replacement..which likely did not survive the accident.

I am the third owner and have all receipts from first owner (10 years @ Dealer and Jack L Hunt in San Rafael) and myself. Second owner only had car for 6 months (wife wanted house downpayment instead). I have a detailed spreadsheet of maintenance thruout the life of the car. Interior and paint in excellent condition for age. It saw one AutoX day and 1.5 HPDS days @ Oktoberfest/MidOhio this year. No other driving events.

Pictures as the car stands are here

I am not handy enough to bring this back to life..but it would make a great car for a wrencher with access to auto body. Asking price, (less the Apex wheels, which I am keeping. Style 44 with winter rubber will come w car) is $4950 obo. Am not planning to part this out...want to sell it whole.

Happy to have you speak with my mechanic or share insurance estimate. Nothing to hide, just want my snowmobile to go to a good home.

Thanks

If you decide to part it out let me know. I'm in Shrewsbury and would be interested in a few goodies you have on your car.

Cleaner...thank you. It was my baby and I was sick to death when I saw the damage. But maybe it's time to move on...

Again, just another expression of sympathy. As you know I had the same car, same color scheme, and it met a similar fate.
Really sorry, again, but at least the only damage was sheet metal.

How are things going with the insurance company? If you need any more advice, happy to help.
