Summer tire grip from all seasons by running wider tires?
Hey,
I'm running a 2001 325xiT on style 159 e92 wheels (17x8 et34). I would like summer tire (dw) like grip from all season tires (DWS) would running 245-40-17 dws give anywhere near the same grip as 225-45-17 dw? Is it even worth plus-sizing? Anyone have direct experience with this fitment? I do a good bit of mountain driving and love a nimble car. Current mods are H&R Coils (finger gap all the way around), adjustable rear control arms, custom alignment, and larger brakes   Thanks |
