Seatbelt Question

I have a 2002 330i with the airbag deployed light on that was diagnosed as a result of a faulty recieving end of the seatbelt drivers side. I don't know how they are related but if I were to get the same part off a different car would it work or still throw the same code and leave the light on?

It's not an airbag deployed light. It's an SRS fault light.

It sound like your explosive seat belt tensioner or the wiring to it has failed. There are some tests to do to figure out which it is.

Once you do correct the fault, you'll need a scan tool to turn the light back off.

Its usually the belt tensioner or the seat occupancy sensor..try removing the yellow connector under the seat for a couple minutes, clean it if needed and reset the light..
