Matching silver E46's project

In a roundabout way, I've come to find myself with 2no. '00 Silver E46 Coupes. One is a 318ci, the other a 323ci, both manual. Being just one man, one must go.

Eventually would like to replace the MV2s with CSLs but 1st plan is to take what I like, make one really nice motor and flog the other. Leaning towards keeping the faster one but as I've just started a new business my sensible head won't keep stum either.

Pro -v- con list:

318ci

Pros:

Manual leather seat
Bodykit
Auto Climate
Multi-function SW (working) OE Xenons
6cd changer (not working) Elec SR
Service history
Owned 2 years, reliable
New water pump 2k ago
LED Rear lights
Ice cold AC
Black window surrounds
Nice leather door cards

Cons:

Slow!!

323ci

Pros:

Engine power
Elec bucket seats
Round airbag SW (MF controls not working)
OE Xenons
Elec SR

Cons:

Rear differential welded closed
Propshaft noise
Flickering Xenons
Heater blowing warm when switch at cold
Manual heater controls
Non M-Sport model, stock body
Chrome surrounds
Diamond cloth interior
Lowered 60mm, WAY too low!

Opinions welcome

This is the first time I've seen a 323's engine power listed as a pro.

I'd transfer all the goodies from the 318 over and have the best of both worlds (or at least a bit better)

Compared to a 318 it's a plus! Coming from a well sorted 450bhp Twin Turbo Supra last year nothing is going to feel the same whatever I do.
