Have You Tried Cherry.com?

As I type this, a guy from Cherry.com is washing my 330i. In essence, it's a website/app that lets you book a car wash. Within an hour or so (usually less) someone shows up wherever you are and washes your car. They offer exterior only and interior/exterior washes for around $25 and $35 respectively.

I think it's a pretty good idea, but I'm not sure how it's going to play out in the long run. I know it originated in the Silicon Valley area and is funded by VC. I definitely think it's a step in the right direction.

Anyone tried it? What do you guys think?

How do they make money ?
25 dollars to drive across town and wash someone's car for an hour ?

I would charge 50 just to pull up in someone's driveway

Can't speak for Cherry... but I know some people that used a similar service and worked out well.

There is a detailing service that sets up a mobile booth in my work building's parking lot every Friday and they do an excellent job. $25.00 for inside and out. I usually hit them up once every 2 weeks.

Interesting. Not in my area yet. But i wash my own car anyway. I don't want swirl marks. Plus i clay bar my car at least every year

Once a homeless man washed my car at like 11pm. He did a fantastic job for it being pitch black outside.

I gave him 20 bucks.

Surprisingly he had all the good waxes and soaps, and nice new microfiber towels.

He runs his own unlicensed business around here.

I had a crackhead in daytona washing my car. $15 no swirls, hand polished with a vacuum job too.

I even got this neat hand carved wooden Tiki statue out of a trade with him.

His names spongebob. Drives a pedo van and has a pretty cool dog.

I got the same $10 for a $35 car wash but it's not available for north county sd. If I want to use that coupon, I'd have to drive down somewhere pass Mira Mesa to get it washed. I still have that coupon.
