Well did you get loss of power when this happened? Or just the lights? I have very low power output when I get the lights, but can rev over 3000 still.

Hey Weste... does the steering sensor error say internal? If so, I may have a solution for you. But that is unlikely the cause of your limp mode.

Nope, I got these:
-Steering angle offset
-CAN timeout instrument cluster
-DSC push button for over 10 seconds or error
-CAN DME/DDE, engine torque not adjustable
-CAN timeout LWS.

Yes, finally someone is in the shop! Hopefully mine is the same as yours.. and cheap? Haha.

I'm just about to go through the other live data pages, then switch back to stock intake just because.. I know that won't change anything though haha. It was happening before I changed intakes. Less often, but was still present.

03e40sick; just to clarify, were you getting P1500 codes? How about any other codes? I want to make sure your diagnosis has a high chance of being mine.

P1150 hmm?

Well, today I removed my air filter, cleaned out the MAF sensor and its connection as well as 3 other wires running around under the air box-- I believe one was leading to the intake side CSP sensor, another to a VANOS connection over there, and the other I have no idea.. I then installed my stock air box back, and connected everything up there. I cleaned and tightened the battery connections, and turned her on, and....

BOOM, NO LIMP MODE!

First time in a very long time limp mode did not immediately show up with everything connected. I drove around for about 15 minutes without it returning.. I'm not getting my hopes up yet, I'm assuming I just put a better bandage on the problem, but for now I'm happy. Let's see how long it lasts!

Well, since it happened every time as soon as I began driving and now it didn't for 15 minutes, I think it is at least telling me where I need to look!

Hah I feel like I'm getting hate for this. :what:

Well I'll keep updating, have an hour on the clock now with no limp mode or codes. If you're supercharged that could be contributing to the issue! I remember reading a thread with a P1500 relating to his FI setup.

i just got off the phone with them, they have not found anything yet, but suggested for me to put back the stock intake box, bc i have a regular intake ( oil intake filter) and he told me that our cars needs dry intake, another thing, when i was supercharged i deleted the oil separator, and he is saying that in need to put it back on...any diy on that ? bc they want $550 for labor

Yeah oil filters will get oil on the MAF and throw off readings. Remove and clean MAF and switch back to stock. Clean MAF and all connections around that you see with CRC MAF cleaner, see if it helps.
