Knowing how the remotes work and how cell phones work, I'm afraid that I just can't believe you. Perhaps you should submit it to Myth Busters.

I know it won't work... But I will deffinetly try it to be the one to say it works or doesn't... Most likely a fail

My FZV key operates at 315MHz, and anyone who thinks that this signal will be picked up and transferred by a cell phone meant to pick up vocal frequencies is off their rocker.

Yes, a cell phone won't even transfer the whole audio range than humans can hear.

Here is what a cell phone does: it picks up physical vibrations in the air on the order of a few KHz, translates that into an electronic signal, then filters out all frequencies beyond a certain range, compresses it and sends out a datastream.

Here is what an FZV key does: sends out an electromagnetic signal (NOT a physical/audio signal), on the order of a few hundred MHz.

The only possible way for the phone to even pick up the signal would be through EMI/induction on the wires or traces from the mic to the processing unit, and even if that were to happen it would be filtered out and then ignored by the compression algorithm. Even if it were to somehow make it to the receiving phone, it would be again filtered out before it made it to the speaker, which would not be able to play a frequency that high, which wouldn't matter because it would have to be an EM signal which the phone is not able to broadcast anyway.

Basically, if this were to work, you should also be able to connect to your home wireless network by calling your house and holding the phone to your laptop's wifi antenna.

No! The frequency response on the phone will not reproduce the rf from the key.
