Wheels for a 2000 323i

My 2000 323i currently has stock wheels, and while I like them a lot more than most stock wheels, I'd still like to get a different set.

I've looked into:
- Apex Arc 8

Now, mind you, this is the first time I've even considered getting wheels, so I'm very unfamiliar with the process.

How should I be finding out what size wheels will fit my vehicle?
What are the current size of my stock wheels, or does that not matter?
Do I need to get smaller tires for larger wheels?
I could ask a million questions, but hopefully you guys can help a novice out.

And as for personal opinions, what wheels do you have a partial preference to? Thanks guys!

What are the wheels in my attachment? They were on a 325i; would these fit on my car?

I'd be massively hurting you if I recommended wheels. For now, I recommend you see my signature, click the links in it, and do it all. (At the very least)

Look here, http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/, for factory wheel packages. Find a size (18x9 or whatever) that fits your car and note the specs that are given. Anything on this chart that lists your car will fit your car without modification to your car.

You can also search eBay for BMW E46 OEM 17-INCH WHEELS. You can drop OEM to get aftermarket results. You can modify 17 to 18 if you want. You can drop E46 too, but then you will get results that might not fit your car.

Tire Rack will also be able to show you which of their wheels will fit your car...and have an app that even shows you what they'll look like.

I recommend round wheels because tires are round and it just makes it simpler.

I also recommend posting in the correct section of the forum.
