Realized my form started to break on the last rep. This is my second time doing them, so don't want to acrrue bad habits.

Notice that too. Most pictures actually lol. I came across this pic of me in a Tshirt from a few years back that I still wear to workout sometime and I tried to take a pic for comparison and it doesn't do it justice. I feel like a jerk asking a friend lol. If only iPhones had timers lol.

Re: SeanC's progress thread

I used the timer in my HTC one but this is as good as it gets. 4MP camera is not the best though.

Re: SeanC's progress thread

Bench presses:

45x10
135x8
185x3
185x2
185x2
135x14

Taking you guys' advice and spending more time with the bigger weights. Not having a spotter sucks, but I'll manage. Could have gotten one more rep in each set with the 185.

That does suck. Can you squat with spotter arms in any of the racks?

Re: SeanC's progress thread

Damn, I could have done that today as the gym is empty. When the semester opens up in a couple of weeks, there will be spotters around. Unfortunately gym closes this week and opens again on the 6th.

Re: SeanC's progress thread

Deadlifts, trying to rep that 315, but having grip issues on the second rep. So sticking with singles for now:

135x10
225x8
315x3
315x1
315x1
315x1

Re: SeanC's progress thread

Yes, up to and including 225, left-under/right-over. Then switch for 315.

Is the grip issue with your stronger hand or your weaker hand?

Interestingly, it's with the stronger hand...

What has always helped me when it comes to grip is to not tighten my grip on the bar until right before I'm about to pull. It serves me well, and I don't waste forearm energy during the set-up of my posterior chain.

Will try. I have had sweaty hands all my life, and that doesn't help either. I will be getting some grip wraps or whatever they are called.
