Run the other way. And BTW there is no such thing as a SL500 AMG. You could get the AMG trim level but it isn't an actual AMG car.

+1

I would assume a man with some reasoning of mechanics would keep a car in better shape. Women often times neglect maintenance.

Seeing the term "woman owned" is a good way for me to determine with absolute certainty that that car is in poor shape.

Bad electronics.... and the AMG interior did not make it better had 3 friends that
owned them over the years none kept them more than a few months...

Endless weird engine and transmission issues (The auto is the same one they use in the 7series BMW)
4500 to 6500 bucks to repair WHEN the computer screws up and forgets to dis-engage a gear.... Or refuses to shift for no good reason.

I'd buy it, strip the car to the tub put in a cage and a 400ci chevy V8 and track day it....

WIKIPEDIA , did you recheck their source?

600SL AMG is the one you want , Real AMG top of the line. It had V12 in it at the time as well as other top end mercs.

This one is a terrible car not worth putting money in. Hope you passed on it

I would generally assume that a female-owned car is in better shape IF the female was well off. They are, in my experience, more likely to take the dealer everytime they're supposed to. I'd prefer that to some shadetree (wannabe) mechanic DIY-ing a job based on something he read on the internet.

As for the general reason, women do not drive cars as hard as men, if you use speeding/aggressive driving tickets, accident statistics, and racing participation as a gauge. On the flip side, women often let their cars get dirtier inside. Coffee stains on the carpet are a telltale sign of female ownership.

Anyway, don't buy the SL unless you're loaded and can toss 10x the car's value into it to make it even resemble something reliable.
