How is the alcantara holding up? What would you rate the condition?

The alcantara is in really good condition, especially compared to other used ones for sale. There is a method that can have the wheel looking close to new, where one essentially 'shaves' some of the pilling off. There are DIY's out there describing the method.

I would say 8.5 out 10. Can probably be made to be 9.7 out of 10.

I don't want to mess with it, so I'm selling as is.

Ok thanks, I was checking because I really want alcantara but the material degrades very quickly. Still haven't done enough research yet. Even the brand new ones are supposed to only last 30k miles according to BMW.

I don't think Bmw would put a mileage expiration on a part they charge $400 and up for. I've seen some wear in 15k mikes and some last 100k. Depends on the owner and how they treat it. If they have sweaty hands, they should clean them more frequently.

Are you willing to split up the bottom trim?
