I have 8,000 miles on mt's. I dont daily them. I did drive from tx to az and back on them once. And when i put them on for a weekend i usually keep them on for a few weeks cuz of laziness to change them back. Im going to put them back on tonight and lower spark plug gap. I have spark blow out and i cant tell if im spinning or my clutch is toast from my new turbo. Just put in the 6766

Congrats Jake!

As for the MT goes. Has anybody tried to do a really good burn out on them. I mean haze them down like you were doing a burn out in the wet box at a drag strip. Might help. Just my two cents.

I ran mts steady on a few other cars and never had that hazing, BUT they were only run at the drag strip and they were always warmed up. So, maybe a combination of street use combined with a lack of proper warming up like what maverick is mentioning could be the cause?
Gotta warm them puppies up!!

I did not heat cycle the MTs. Read multiple reviews re this about a year ago, pros and cons and decided against it. I now have set of Nitto 555 arriving Friday, trying to decide if I should cycle them. I did not heat cycle my first set of Nittos and they held up very well. I note that some distributors - tire rack and tire direct - offer heat cycle service for $15/tire. Mine were purchased local, no option for them to do it, would have to do myself. Also, have heard mixed opinions on best way to heat cycle. Some say just drive on them 50-100 miles before abuse, others say do 15 sec burnout, and then let sit 24 hours, 48 hours etc. Would really liketo hear from others on this.

This is impressive. A car like this... What is the speed when you no longer have to think about the tires breaking loose?

I live in New Orleans. For about 9 months out of the year, temps avg above 60F. During this time, I usually have full traction in 3rd from 60mph up with current wheel tire set up.

Its not so much the speed, but the delivery.. most of us can spin our tires at almost any speed. The power comes on late and hard. I've spun all out bias ply slicks for 1/8th of a mile on the highway at about a 130mph effortlessly on medium boost.

I used to think the same, but after going solid everything in the rear, OS Giken diff, I can't spin them even if I try to

I do, 1st gear too, that's with pump and meth. Haven't tried with race and meth yet, but if I can hook up 1st, I don't think 2nd will be an issue at all with the extra power

Should be plenty of vids in about 10 days, after the Shift Sector Airstrip event.
Don't think I'll ever launch my car again, just simply not worth breaking things for me. I'd rather stick to roll races.
