Cloud Atlas (and other 2012 holiday season movies)

Looks to be a good set of films in the upcoming months to veg out to.

This probably being the best, Cloud Atlas.

Followed by this, Robot and Frank.

And then these, more robots.

I love robots, so this looks to be a good year.

I read Cloud Atlas a while ago and really enjoyed it. I'll be interested to see how well they pull off the movie version.

Cloud Atlas looks super interesting. Directed by the Wachowski brothers, who are now actually brother and sister.

Or it could be as disappointing as The Fountain. I am expecting better though.

I bought the book but couldn't get past the first 25 pages. Between the language and all the different names of the "types" of people, I couldn't keep focus and quit it

It's one of those books that just sort of throws you into the middle of everything and lets you flail around a bit trying to figure out what's going on. I really wound up enjoying it, though.

In the Prototype trailer, at exactly 1.43 mins, the hand is the motorcycle glove that I use. I don't know about that... they just used a simple well known motorcycle glove that looks futuristic and repainted it. Awesome glove though. I love it. It's called the Handroid. LOL.

Idk if this counts as a Holiday movie, but it comes out around then. Christmas eve tradition for 3 years was watching the LOTR films so the Hobbit!

Saw it yesterday with my wife while waiting for a plane. I thought it was really good, but it is one of those movies you need to watch a few times to really catch it all. It takes about 30 minutes for it to start to make sense. Did not seem like 3 hours, but it was right on.

Watched it just now
Mind = blown
First hour or so I was just trying to catch onto what was going on
Overall I liked the movie
I might pick up the book so I can really understand the storyline and then watch it again
