Blew a head gasket a few weeks ago, turns out to be a much bigger problem than I expected.

I took the original head to the machine shop and they said it was slightly warped and that they would shave it. Instead of doing that, I bought a used head (with 74k on it) off ebay. As I'm torquing the head bolts down, I hear a snap. I assume that the threads in the engine block are done for.

The car has 160k on the clock. 3 of the 4 tires are practically new (just purchased them in march).

The car is located in Charleston, South Carolina.
