Don't do it unless you want the mechanical/tuning experience. I have turbo'd a N/A car, it has been sitting on jack stands for the past few years. You will spend much more money then a m3 as you will break tones of stock parts along the way.

Keep your current car as a dial driver.

Go into debt and buy what you want, then pay if off as fast as you can.

Suggest an E46 M5 or E39 M5. They are at least something you can work on.

$10-$12k for a good super charger kit for the E39 M5 and forget who is behind you.

Well my options were: keep this, go for the 335 coupe, or get it over with and buy my dream Supra. And honestly the Supra sounds better every single day.

Update: glad I took the advice! after a ton of research I do not think that turbo charging my e46 is a good idea. The cost of it along with everything that comes along wouldn't be

But I finally pulled the trigger on what I have
Always wanted...

Nope, I decided to just keep it and use it as a DD. it's been quite dependable and its paid off so I figured there's no reason to sell her. As much as I like the supra, my BMW has done me well, it's comfortable, and I don't think I could drive the supra everyday

I did something similar, bought a Z32 TT. But still have the ZHP coupe as a first project.

Good choice. the 300zx is a good power car. I even thought of getting one just for fun one time. There just a bitch to work on. Less room to work on in the engine bay than a Audi B5 S4. Always have to either pull the entire front end off or the motor to do anything lol.
