I have a 2001 325i SPORT Package European Delivery. I just reached 105,xxxmi and want to replace my struts and bump stops.
My question is did my car come with Bilstein or Sachs? I want OEM quality/ Sport package drive. Sachs are much more afforable. Which ones come stock? ![]() Is is necessary to replace springs aswell ? (I really dont want to spend more than I have to) If I buy only strut assemblies, what else do I need? (Bump stops, dust covers, what else?)

You buy a Sachs shock at the Stealer, you get a max two year warranty, but if you buy the Bilsteins, you get a lifetime warranty, and the Bilstein HD dampers are smooooooth.

If you want a bit of an upgrade, go with the ZHP spec Sachs suspension. The front struts were actually cheaper than the sport struts by a few dollars when I did mine.

Actually, if you buy a "Sachs" shock/strut from an aftermarket vendor you're getting a lifetime warranty and it's virtually the same part as the OE from the dealership. If you buy from a dealer you'd be correct. Just wanted you to be aware that there are 2 different lines of Sachs products, as there are with Bilsteins. The Bilstein shock from the Chevy dealer for your Z71 truck is not covered by the same lifetime warranty as the aftermarket Bilstein you'd buy online.
