pretty much everywhere. we are the only super power in the world. It would be nice to move back to pre WWII isolationism and save some money. You military contractor peeps might have a hard time with employement though.

Isolationism didn't work prior to world war 1, or world war 2. Now that the world is more interconnected than ever, why would it work now?

Our ability to reach out and touch someone have increased exponentially, and we got the Oceans

I guess leaving Europe to its own devices would have been an acceptable plan.

Obviously not, we had to go and kick some ass (Obama/Hitler) but it wasn't because of our isolationism.

The military presense back then because of the way war was waged, now we can place bombs within a few meters of intended targets all day, drones, the technology advancements. That's where I'm coming from

Wars have never, and will never, be won by dropping bombs. Battles can be won in the air and at sea, but wars are won with boots on the ground.

or military isolationism would be easier to sustain now than before, but I agree it's not a viable option at this point

The only thing I don't approve of is the fact that he can now target and kill Americans without any due process. I don't think he's going to go around drone killing Betty Homemaker though.

I cannot comment on this.

But thinking America is currently the only super power.....errrrrr "ok"

Exactly. Isolationism failed. And with the world we live in now, isolationism will fail again if we try it.

Plastidip + spray can color and clear.
Unless you don't want it removable...if you just want to change the color, sand it by hand, primer, paint and clear with rattle cans.

if you melt a country and there's no one in it left to fight you, would you consider that a w1n?

I was thinking spray gun with extra hardener in the paint. Not uber cheap, just more cost effective.

If I rattle can, I can handle that myself

Would you consider that a viable strategy?

But no, it wouldn't be. Because by doing that you've just created an enemy of everyone else. I guess maybe when you're the last person alive, you can claim victory. But what have you won then?

I really don't know, but how many troops were on the ground when we bombed Japan?

How long did we win battle after battle on pacific islands to finally put Japan into a position where they could accept surrender?

The atom bombs were icing on the cake. If we had had them on day one, dropping them wouldn't have won the war against Japan.

Back on topic, though, where is Chase? I am starting to get worried for his safety.
