Constructed and programmed this guy back in HS for a project.
![]() I don't have pics, but when I was in 6th grade, I bought an airplane model kit, stripped the interior, and fitted a motor and solar panel to the plane to make a solar powered plane. Then wired it up so that it could be remote controlled. Last edited by bimmerfan08; 11-06-2012 at 04:16 PM. |

Yes and no.
My mini solar panel and engine were not big enough to power the weight of the plane. The propeller spun and the plane moved, but I couldn't get it to stay in the air long enough. |

Maybe. Needed more power for sure. Weight was most definitely the issue. But that was 11+ years ago.

Kuksul08, here is a picture of the bottom end all assembled, and another one of the piston/rod setup (GO USF BULLS!
) I have the exploded drawing and animation on my home computer that I'll try to find and post later. I also made a flywheel and oil pan, and yes every stupid bolt for it too lol. This was more fun than a project for me... I wish I could use SW everyday at work lol, I'm soooo underemployed lol ![]() Last edited by boostedisbetter; 11-08-2012 at 07:37 AM. |

The table is mahogany top and stunning in person, and the coat stand is ash with mahogany down the center and inlaid into the legs.
The entertainment stand is filthy with dust in that picture, but really nice in person. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Bimmer App Last edited by Trashcan; 11-08-2012 at 07:25 PM. |

Nice work Trashcan. Wood working is difficult to make it look pro. There are so many tricks you need to know from picking the right wood to making sure it's all square and then finishing it properly.
