Some do, but chose to deny it! Ironically, though, the LL-98 I'm using (Fuchs 5/40, coz I like the name) seems to have disappeared more than I'm used to. It's down 1/2 qt. after about 6,000 miles.

Just saw an Agip 5/40 LL-01 at my shop...think that'll be next!

Anyway, back to OP, I thought clock was just always off an hour for six months...always seemed stupid to me but whatever! I don't think Germany has DST.

Since I'm bored I'll comment on this. It's part of general relativity. A group of scientists once took two sychronized atomic clocks and flew one of them around the earth on a 747. The other stayed on the ground. When the plane returned, the one on the plane was behind by several billionths of a second (or some really small unit). That was greater than the clock's maximum error so time slowed for the 747. The faster you go, the slower time passes. At the speed of light, time ceases to pass. So you can travel to the future, but you can't go to the past. Also this means that photons don't age after they leave their source, so the light hitting us from lightyears away from other stars is 0 seconds old, but took forever to get here... maybe SeanC can step in and clean up this mess I have made.
