Need Light Upgrade Help
I've been reading threads for days trying to figure out what to do. I have a 2000 328Ci with stock halogens and want to upgrade to projectors with angel eyes. I couldn't decide on whether to do the DIY with the morimoto's (I'm afraid I might eff it up) or buy Projector46's (I've read the pros and cons).
Then I found these locally. They are advertised as stock bmw e46 323ci projector headlights with ballasts. I know the picture sucks, but can anyone tell me if they are really OEM? If they are OEM projectors, then that's better than the retrofit or P46's, right? What are the potential problems with upgrading to OEM projectors?

OEM is better than retrofit and p46's please keep in mind you'll have to code your car to enable the bi-xenon option

They look oem but we need more pics to be sure. Those corner lights belong in the trash lol.
Btw, at Limpia retrofitting in "certain" projectors is a lot better than OEM.

Here's a better picture. I just don't want to end up with an aftermarket piece of junk.
Jake, I can't find the thread, but I thought I read that OEM projectors were the way to go, if possible. I'm only looking for a modest upgrade from halogens. Just thought since I found these OEMs, I should jump on them. Oh yeah, I have no use for those corner lights.

Yea, they sure do look OEM. To be sure make sure that on the top of the headlight it says Bosch or AL.
Personally, I think this is the order of lighting from best to worst 1. FXR/TL/RX 2. OEM Al or Bosch 3. Morimoto 4. P46 Now, I'm not biased a lot and say that ALL P46's are junk. I would only recommend them if you really can't get hold of OEM headlights or can't retro in the Morimoto ones. My friend has them on his car and they're not that bad, but comparing to my setup it's not as bright or as intense.

Are there any other cons to upgrading from halogens to OEM projectors other than having to code? I'm trying to plan this out before I get started.

Nothing, just pop them in and plug them to the factory harness. You might be able to get away without coding it but have it done regardless.

Jake, your retrofit video for the morimoto mini H1 is fantastic however it doesnt show the process of making the wiring in the car.
So the car male connector (9006) goes into ballast, then ballast goes into the HID bulb connector wiring? What wiring goes to positive/negative battery terminals? Thanks

Yes, that's how it's connected. Plug and play. If you use the wire harness it's just like angel eyes. Positive wire to the battery terminal and the ground to the oem ground where that big nut is in the drug bin. Lol, you contemplating this swap so much, just do it.
