Need your expert opinions...

Which one of these two cars would you guys recommend (if either)? Also what do you think I could bargain whatever car you think is better, down to? Car #1: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...386272173.html

Car #2: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/nv...380659684.html

Thanks in advance guys! Oh btw I'm more of a coupe guy, only 17 so I don't need to house a family in the back seat, and don't plan on it any time soon, but are the upgrades to the 4 door better than the sporty look of the coupe?

I'd personally go for the sedan, it seems like they cared for the car better plus they can provide service history which with our cars is really important. plus lower mileage thats my two cents

My Ride: an immigrant like me
I think the coupe is a better option because of the following reasons:
- it is a newer model
- lower mileage
- lower price

I would caveat my statement to having the car checked for mechanical issues and speaking the owner about key maintenance items like suspension, cooling system. My cooling system went out at about 170k so if not done be prepared to spend C$500 to 1000. In addition, my shocks were blown at about 185k which set me back another C$1500 [primarily because I went with ST coilovers].

Hope this helps.

@dmitrofed the sedan has 20000 more kms than the coupe does, plus the 2000's generally (please correct me if I'm mistaken) have subframe issues, and there have been numerous 2000 323i recalls, and as far as I can tell there have been no recalls for the 2002 325ci. Are there any known knocks on the 325ci? I'm trying to find some but I can't seem to find any main/common issues with it. Thanks guys!

The sedan is gone. Take the coupe. It's a good deal. Check for rebuilt status and subframe, everything else can be fixed.

My Ride: currently seeking
Two fresh 330i's popped up this morning. One is an 04 white M sport with SMG tranny! The other is an 02 M sport.

It's 160kms. The coupe has all three pedals.
Stay away from SMG.

My bad, I guess I got the mileage confused. Whatever you end up getting, just pay attention to service history. I got my car for $6400 out the door from a private seller, its an 01 and at the time had 102k. So far I've put in over $2k worth of PARTS only as maintenance. Thats even with my discount since I work at a shop, plus if I added up all the labor time it'd be around $5000 total. These cars are pretty maintenance heavy at higher mileage.

Do you think it's a good enough deal to pull the trigger on? I have a 04 trailblazer that gets me from point a to point b, so I don't NEED a new car but I want one. However I don't need one right away, so do you think will be a better deal that will come up? Or is this kinda the Creme de la Creme (so to speak) of the 7k range?
