umnitza license plate leds?
http://www.umnitza.com/index.php?mai...plate&x=13&y=5
i have a 4 yr old set from jlevi, one is on the blink so time to replace, also ordering orion lite angel eyes from umnitza so, out of the 3 listed, are the v3 just as good for half the price as the v4? i see they are diff manufacturer bottom of page |

If brightness is your concern, v3 is probably enough. I have v4 and IMHO they are too bright for license plate lights. But that is not an issue since you can point them upwards so they shine into the small mirror inside license bulb housing, and in 30 seconds (or less
) you can change the brightness intesitiy just by slightly rotating LED bulb thus changing the angle at which it deflects from little mirror. Parallel parking at night and avoiding curbs with dipped passenger side mirror is so easy with v4 in its natural position But I had to "quiet them down" a tiny bit. They seem like high quality product, but I don't think v3 is worse. |

100% star stuff

This keeps happening to mine from Khoalty. I suppose I need new lenses/gaskets. Now obviously they don't shine as bright as before.

Are the bulbs the same size as stock bulbs or do you need to bend the contacts to get them to fit?

That sucks. Happened to me before with a set from jlevi so I got some cheap ebay replacements and they have been excellent.

v3 are a little larger than the V4, the V4 are much brighter.
moving the prongs out with a set of needle nose pliers will ensure they fit properly and last a long time. They are polarity sensitive.

will do eventually , but seeing it's only $12 and shipping would prob be half that i'm not sure it's worth it, but the gesture is noted
more important for me to let the members know these are too big

Will the V4 cause a warning on the dash? Any pics of them?
Thanks, Steven |

Nope. P&P, almost OEM size, no bulb out warning, but very very bright (easily "fixable" though, via rotating LED bulb to shine onto the small mirror inside bulb housing.)

Just purchaed Umnitzas V4 license plate LED bulbs. They look great when on. They seem to flash/blink if you tap the trunk or hit a bump. Any ideas on how to make a secure connection? Seems loose which is causing the flashing/blinking.
Thanks |

Clean electric contact prongs (I used fine sand paper), then bring them a little bit closer, not much, 2 milimeters is fine, just to make tighter, more secure electric connection.

39mm is the size bulb for the license plate so you can be sure they fit. Try http://www.superbrightleds.com
