Mulholland Drive (movie)

I just watched Mulholland Dr. as I was recommended it by so many here on the forum. Ummm....

Requiem for a Dream made 100x more sense than this movie. I was so completely lost, and it never came together for me at all. I can't figure out a moral, story line, nothing.

Can someone explain, or is it even supposed to make sense?

I don't remember names. The dark hair girl is a fantasy of the blonde hair. Blonde hair is a failed actress and dark hair plays her in her delusion. The body they find is actually blonde hair. She kills herself after she bates.

The way the movie was shot really bothered me.

Watch this movie in reverse...watch it from moment she opens that box with the key.

you should watch the following david lynch movies in this order: blue velvet, lost highway, then watch mulholland drive again. it'll all make sense.

blue velvet kinda laid the ground for the type of movies lynch made after. nothing particular about the sequence, but it gets more evolved as he keeps going. hard to jump to the most complex without seeing the original. wild at heart wasn't a bad movie either, just doesnt stand out as much to me.

The two previous movies don't have anything to do with the plot though, do they?

there not tied together in any way, just the structure of the stories are kinda similar and the movies are made with his style and theme. lost highway was a mindfvck, loved it tho. great cast, soundtrack is dope.

just watched this movie, it all made perfect sense to me. it was a long ass movie though... it wasnt too hard to follow and not as much as a mindfvck as i thought it was going to be.
