It depends on the skill level of your "average" wrench turner. The average install isn't acceptable to us, but you'll see the level of drivability, install quality, and fit and finish that this excellent ECU deserves from us. This ECU requires some sensors installed like any other, not sure if that's what you mean? Installing this is no harder than any other stand alone if you're familiar with that stuff.

It absolutely 100% works on this platform and we'll be happy to be showing the ins and outs of it, along with its industry standard flex fuel and traction control soon.

The ProEFI system has an excellent dealer network designed to help with install and tuning questions. It was an easy system to pick up and learn how to use and we've already used it on the E46m so it isn't new to us. When you go ProEFI, part of the value is in the excellent ECU and part of it is in that you are getting your car developed and tuned by extremely knowledgable tuners!

Remember guys, no ECU out there can overcome mechanical issues or be left to "self tune", it needs time into it to make it right!

There is a lot of mis information going around about the E46 applicaition. I'll try and address the big ones quickly and briefly.

Cams - We can control both...just choose not to in the basic plug and play setup because it is a bit above the average user, and poses no real immediate benefits contrary to popular belief. This was proven by the back to back dyno's of the HPF cars at are facility with their kit "controlling" the cams, and the ProEFI leaving it to the stock ECU, and we still made more power EVERYWHERE.
THrottle - we can control this as well, again, just choose not to on the plug and play kit. Jasons M3 was running both cams and the throttle at the track at points.

Plug and Play - this kit is as plug and play as any kit on the market for ANY platform. Like Alex at FSR put it, there are varying degrees of what people consider easy, or correct. The plug and play kit for the M3 has the map sensor, fuel pressure sensor, boost control, AIT, wideband, and flex fuel sensors pre-wired. You still would need to wire in any additional fuel pumps etc... The system itself...plug and play!

FLex fuel and traction control - dialed in and comes in the base cal. Traction control requires no additional wiring except if you wish to install a switch to turn it off.

The issue with the Z4m has nothing to do with the cams.

Hope that helps!

FSR is an excellent company and they are VERY competant with the ProEFI ECU's!

I dont understand.....do you hit speed bumps at speed? The hotside pipe is in line with the front tires so it goea up as you go over speed bumps.

My car is pretty low and I've only hit my hotside once and that was going up a long incline that sharply flattened out. It didn't come off or anything, but did scrape it.

The black one right? I call it a hotside pipe because you have two. One before intercooler and one after so hotside before coldside after...but yeah ive hit mine a few times nothing series. My first one got destroyed by a huge rock but never by normal driving conditions speed bumps etc because of what i prevoiusly stated.

considering FSR just made 906whp on a simple cast log manifold with a 6466 on a 3.0L supra, it might want to make you guys rethink spending tons of money on a tubular manifold.....
