Help

Hi guys this is my first post on this site but Ive always been a fan. I need some help with my 330ci. I had a pioneer head unit in my car that had died. So I purchased a factory hk unit. But when I had tried to replace the unit, I was unable to do so. The idiot who previously owned the car had removed and cut the factory harness to pieces. But I gave up so I taped up the cables individually and left it be, so I could order a new harness. But when I started my car, It had died. I lost all power in the car, and it did not start. I have no power at all in the car. I have no light windows etc. Please help. Thanks.

Your constant power wire is shorted and draining the battery, go back in harness and seperate each wire and tape off the ends so they won't touch each other. Recharge your battery hopefully it will hold a charge and start the engine.

Thanks for all the responses so quickly. s14realm3 is there any chance of fire? I didn't have any time to check. I just tried to start it today and it died. I had class so I had left it alone.

If there are power wires shorted, then yes, there is a chance of fire. It's small, though, because those wires are on 5 or 10amp breakers, which will usually pop of there is a short like this.
