Does "performance package" include any engine mod?

I've tried searching the web for answers but couldn't find anything . I have a 99 328i with a stick. It has the performance package and I want to know if vehicles with the performance package includes anything extra done to the motor. If anybody knows I'd love to hear. Thanks

The only "performance package" cars are ZHPs. Hate to say it but you don't have a ZHP. Google E46 ZHP, you will find your answer.

FYI - ZHP is the option code for performance package

Sounds more likely you're referring to the sports package which is ZCP I think. ZHP is only on 330s.

If it is sports package then no engine upgrades. Just suspension, seats, wheels maybe some other shit. Google should know.

Performance Package was available on US-spec 03/2003+ 330s only. It included slightly hotter cams, a raised redline (6800RPM), a thread-locked oil pump nut, louder exhaust, shorter rear diff (3.07:1 for manuals, 3.64:1 for non-vert autos), better control arms (metal ball joint), an M-tech II body kit, optional alcantara interior (alcantara boot and steering wheel were standard), aluminum cube trim, high gloss shadowline window trim, sport seats, M135 wheels, and red gauge needles.

Asides for the control arms, the suspension was the same as any other 02+ 330 (all 330s from that period had sport suspension). 6-speed manual was standard on all 03/2003+ 330s; it was not ZHP specific.

Sports package means sports seats, sport suspension, and sport steering wheel. 330's with the sports package also got the M-Tech 1 body kit and Style 68 wheels.
